Custom Cubby

A teacher from a local school approached CCB about building a "cubby" for his classroom. Based on a sketch, the end result is shown here. We've also included the "thank you" from the students!

Custom Century Cabinets

The kitchen shown below is from a century home in Oberlin, Ohio that a customer is refurbishing. They wanted cabinets that looked "original", but would still work in a modern kitchen. After contacting several custom cabinet shops who could not meet their needs they called CCB.

These cabinets are MASSIVE!! The upper cabinets are almost 11 feet long and are built as just two units. The interiors of each cabinet are continuous with no partitions to block the view from one to the next. The customer wanted extra deep upper and base cabinets. The upper cabinets are 13.75 inches deep (Standard is 12"), while the base cabinets are 27"deep to accommodate a washer and dryer.

The cabinets are built from hard maple and maple veneered plywood, finished natural on the interiors and white on the exteriors. The flush inset doors are built with mortise and tennon construction for lasting durability. The glass in the "super uppers" is original to the house. It was saved when the home had new windows installed.
